After more than five exciting months with more than 2,000 aspiring models entering, the competition was narrowed down to ten finalists. Thousands of people casted their vote on the DrJays.com website and on February 2nd Karl Kani himself, Boss Lady (www.drjays.com) & Dutch top photographer Ruud Baan crowned, the Ford model and Pharmacy student, Shay Dechelle. This Arizona native always had a passion for modeling. Growing up African-American supermodels such as Chanel Iman, Jourdan Dunn and Coco Rocha inspired her to pursue a career in modeling.
Kani Ladies’ newest model wins a glamorous photo shoot in Paris, France with renowned Dutch photographer Ruud Baan, an all expense paid 5 days trip to Europe for her and a friend. She will become the new face of the Kani Ladies Fall Winter 2009 campaign and receive a Kani Ladies apparel package worth $ 1,500. Runner up Kemylee B and third place winner Laura Watson both apparel packages, 2nd place worth $ 1,000 and 3rd place worth $ 500
